Deregulation in the energy industry has brought profound changes in the major energy firms' approach. They are now thinking in terms of comprehensive services for their customers, and offering decentralised solutions producing electricity and heat in combination - cogeneration, based on small, standardised units that are both cost-effective and easy to use.
A major objective is to reduce emissions of carbon dioxide - the most worrying greenhouse gas, produced by burning fossil fuels. The European Union regards this as a "community priority".
There are two ways to achieve this :
increase the yield of energy converters that use fossil fuels,
use non-fossil fuels (biogas).
MRCC Industries' programme is to develop rational energy production and management using a converter optimised for running on natural gas or biogas, and protecting the environment through reduced gas emissions and minimum noise pollution.
We have invented a clean, innovative technology: a circular-chamber rotary engine we call MRCC. Our business is the study, development, industrial production, marketing and maintenance of a micro-cogenerator based on this technology - the MRCC-COGEN~30/30X.
This cogenerator, designed for an electrical power output of 30 to 120 kW, features a controlled-ignition engine of a new generation : the MRCC, designed to meet the demands of continuous use with low operating costs.
...adaptable to a wide range of applications
The circular chamber rotary engine concept can usefully be adapted to other purposes, including industrial applications such as electricity generators, trigeneration, lift trucks and auxiliary generators, vehicles e.g. with hybrid engines and Natural Gas vehicle engines, and forthcoming applications with hydrogen engines.
